A Message from the Principal...

Evergreen Elementary- A Great Place to Grow! The month of May will be the busiest of the year. With promotions, awards, field trips, and assemblies, Evergreen students will be challenged with the task of having fun while staying focused on academics. It’ll be tough, but the Evergreen staff is committed to providing a safe and engaging learning environment for all students.

The May mindset of the month is 100% Accountable. The message students are receiving is to take responsibility for their own happiness and success. That when we allow the opinions and actions of others to matter more than our own, we become victims. The lessons for May cover the topics of Own Our Lives, Overcome Limiting Beliefs, Focus Your Energy, and Grow Through Life. We have been extremely satisfied with the progress Evergreen students have made this year with the 7 Mindsets curriculum and are excited to begin new lessons this fall.

Now for some upcoming events. On May 8th our Kindergarten teachers will be hosting a Kindergarten Round-up event for prospective Evergreen Kindergarten students. This will begin at 6pm in the cafeteria. Our end-of-the-year awards assemblies are as follows: 5th Grade Promotion 5/23 @ 9:30am, Kindergarten Promotion 5/25 @ 1:45pm. Our 1st -4 th grade students will be having an awards assembly on 5/24. Students will be receiving more information in the coming weeks.

As always, please contact the Evergreen Front Office at 520-836-6694 with questions or to request a meeting with your child’s teacher. Please follow us on Facebook @EvergreenCGESD for frequent school updates.
